1000 Palestinian Detainees Disappeared?

A total of 7500 Palestinians were detained by the Government of Israel, but Israeli security authorities said the prisoners who came from Palestine amounted to 6500 in 31 prisons in Israel. Where a thousand Palestinian prisoners it?

It was reported that approximately 1,500 prisoners suffering from incurable diseases like cancer and kidney infections. Some 300 of them are children and another 37 were women.

Torture and long-term detention is a violation of human rights against Palestinians. Some Palestinians even incarcerated for over 12 years. Similarly, as reported by ABNA, Tuesday (08/02/2011).

Palestinian Minister for Prisoner Affairs Attallah Abu al-Sabah said, Those detained are always faced by the mental and psychological torture as well as receiving death threats, destruction of houses and rape.

Previously, member countries of the Non-Aligned Gerakana (GNB) is urging the release of Palestinian prisoners currently detained by Israel. Exemption issue is even in issue in the NAM meeting held in May.

Attallah also stated that he experienced in such inhuman treatment when he was detained by the Zionist regime in Israeli prisons.
