Athletes sport Sumo in Japan getting the latest high-tech touch. Now, they freely use the latest technology with large fingers.

Japan Sumo Association will distribute Apple's iPad to the wrestlers who often have difficulty, because the usual mobile phone keyboard is too small for their giant hands.

Sumo Association said it would give iPad in 51 Sumo club with the aim of improving communication among athletes. Previously, athletes often miss the information that is sent via fax machine or telephone.

"We will distribute the latest IPAD to all pesumo that streamline their communications," said Vice Chairman of the Sumo Association, Hiroyoshi Murayama, as quoted from page Straits Times, Tuesday, August 24, 2010.

Jiji Press reported, a special edition selected is iPad tablet PC. Prices start at 48,800 yen in Japan.

IPad tablet PC was selected because many sumo club owners do not use computers. Not only that, the pesumo not good at writing messages using mobile phones with their hands that are large.
