Do not Want to Surrender to the cameraman!

International Workshop on Digital Imaging (Iwait) 2011 which was held on Friday (07/01/2011) in Jakarta to direct its focus on the tradition of previous Iwait. Some of the areas studied is image processing, video technology, multimedia technology, 3DTV/FTV (Free Point TV), imaging applications, and virtual. However, one area that is examined more deeply in this forum is 3DTV/FTV technology.
We do not surrender it to the cameraman. With this technology, we can choose the image you wish to view.

"The technology will change the way audiences view television. If we've been passive, with this technology is so interactive," said Executive Chairman Dr PM Winarno Iwait 2011.

With 3DTV/FTV, continued Winarno, the audience can determine the other side of the image that was displayed by the television.

"If during the time we just surrender to the cameraman, with this technology, we can select the image you want to see," said Director of Research and Community Outreach at the University of Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) this.

"If you watch the ball, for example, we do not have to look at the middle of the field constantly, but we could see the other side that we want," he continued.

He said the technology 3DTV/FTV already developed in some countries, like Japan and Korea. Special 3DTV/FTV in this workshop, UMN bring two keynote speakers who are experts, ie from Masayuki Tanimoto Nagoya University, Japan, which would explain the problem FTV, and Prof. Yo-Sung Ho of the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology which deals with 3DTV.

The Iwait 2011 organized by UMN. This workshop was attended by 150 participants. Unfortunately, only 10-12 participants from Indonesia. Total number of papers presented was 160, 15 of them related to 3DTV.
